The CTE diploma gives high school students technical education and skills that enable them to secure jobs with starting pay of over $50,000 per year in upstate New York.

Anthony Brindisi, born and raised in Utica, is a former school board member who serves on the Assembly’s Education and Higher Education Committees. He is a fighter for affordable education and safe schools.

Claudia Tenney is working to defund the government and education. She voted to support the Republicans’ budget busting tax give-away that provided billions of dollars in tax breaks to the 1% and to big corporations while increasing taxes on many middle and lower income Americans. Although Tenney claims on her website that she is concerned about the United States $18 trillion debt, she supported the Republican tax give-away that added $1.5 trillion dollars in debt.

Anthony supports common sense gun safety laws like universal background checks and an assault weapons bans.

Tenney boasts about being a “life member of the NRA.” She was the first state lawmaker to introduce a bill for full repeal of the New York Safe Act, the state’s 2013 gun control law. The NRA, which opposes all gun safety measures, endorsed Tenney. In the 2016 election cycle, Tenney took $5,950 from the NRA.

In response to the gun massacres in Parkland, Florida, Tenney told an Albany radio station that most mass murderers are Democrats.  The Parkland killer was photographed wearing a Make America Great Again hat.  In 2009, Jiverly Wong shot & killed a teacher and 12 students in Binghamton – part of the 22nd District. He wasn’t a Democrat. Before the killings, he talked about killing Obama to his former coworkers.  Many residents of Binghamton may be offended by Tenney’s promotion of guns, her ties to the NRA and her disregard to public safety.

Anthony will stand up for the Affordable Care Act.

Tenney fought, alongside Trump, Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell to repeal the Affordable Care Act and to take away healthcare from 23 million Americans. Repealing the Affordable Care Act would be disastrous for NY-22 because it would prevent many people living there from getting treatment for opioid addiction.

Anthony is standing up for the DREAMERS.

Tenney has been and outspoken opponent of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

In 2012, the New York Conservative Party gave Tenney an award for being the most right-wing legislator in the state. She is part of the Tea Party. She is part of the racist “America First” movement. She is too extreme for New York.
